NSW Health said the batch was found to contain around twice the amount of MDMA usually found in other ecstasy tablets.

"MDMA can cause severe agitation, raised body temperature, seizures or fits, irregular heart rhythm and death," Roberts said. Roberts said hot environments such as music festivals could increase the risk of serious illness or death."Taking a break from dancing, seeking shade, and drinking water are important measures to reduce the risk of overheating.
