The City of Saskatoon said in a news release that crews with sanders will be using de-icing material as needed — and then sand as the temperature drops — for traction at high-traffic locations like Circle Drive, freeways and intersections. The city said 18 sanders will be spreading de-icing materials Saturday and Sunday, and rut shaving in back lanes and on skipped local streets will also continue through the weekend, with snow removal on priority streets ongoing at night.
