Thrive City, the outdoor area in front of the Chase Center, is getting a new wine bar with a peculiar name. GluGlu, from the team at Ungrafted in Dogpatch, is slated to open sometime in the winter. Located at 7 Warriors Way, Suite 202, the casual venue will focus on wines made with more sustainable farming practices, less manipulation during the aging period and “experimental” techniques not usually seen in wine making from past generations. These wines are the varietals that the sommeliers at Ungrafted are excited by and want to share with their friends.

To pair with the beverages, chef David Aviles, who previously worked at the two Michelin-starred restaurant Acadia in Chicago, will cook up a Mediterranean-inspired menu. Thrive City is a bustling outdoor sprawl right in front of Chase Center where a huge jumbotron shows special features like Warriors games and movies. Surrounding the live entertainment area are a smattering of San Francisco restaurants such as Dumpling Time, Gott’s Roadside, Philz Coffee and Harmonic Brewing.
