Draymond Green is not mad, but rather actually laughing, at the latest fine he received from the NBA.
Rasheen Smith, a longtime friend of Green’s, vehemently disagreed with the decision in a post on his Instagram story. He wrote, “The fan had words FIRST. And @money23green responded,” adding that Green’s comments “should not equate to a $25,000 fine.”
Smith’s post ended with “Yo @nba, I witnessed a whole Celtics arena screaming, ‘f—k you Draymond,’ repeatedly. Help me make sense of this.” Green then reposted this on his Instagram story with four sideways cry-laughing emoji and “surprise surprise.” The Dubs forward isn’t an active antagonist toward fans so much as he’s very much the kind of guy to tell you to “shut the f—ck up” if you get on his nerves. He’s generally not shy about letting these sorts of feelings out in arenas full of people. In fact, he’s not even seven months removed from the last time he was fined for being “obscene” toward fans.
