His addition fills the last of the three available two-way spots now held by guard Lester Quiñones and forward Usman Garuba.
Robinson, 26, is familiar with the Warriors’ system as a training camp invite last season. Though he didn’t make the cut, he signed with the G League affiliate Santa Cruz Warriors in January.
Robinson was selected 13th overall out of Boston College by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2018 NBA Draft, but was traded to the Washington Wizards in 2020 and hasn’t settled on an NBA roster since. His two-way spot isn’t necessarily guaranteed as the Warriors have in the past shuffled through options to fill the two-way spots.
He averages of 4.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 14.2 minutes in 113 games over three seasons with the Clippers and Wizards. The move is one of a handful the Warriors have made in preparation for the first day of training camp on Oct. 2. Golden State signed guard Kendric Davis forward Javan Johnson and guard Donovan Williams to training camp-invite deals, the team announced Thursday. The Warriors also made official the reported signings of veteran forward Rudy Gay and guard Rodney McGruder.Related Articles
