Candice Warner has insisted her new memoir, Running Strong, will 'touch on absolutely everything' from her bathroom tryst with Sonny Bill Williams to the sandpapergate scandal.
The wife of Australian cricket star David Warner is set to release her memoir Running Strong in April.
Warner, 22 at the time, and Williams, 21 at the time, were caught inside a cubicle in the men’s bathroom when another patron reached under the toilet door and took a picture. “I touch on absolutely everything, every single thing from the Clovelly Hotel incident to South Africa,” she said. Williams’s manager at the time of the bathroom romance said the young Bulldog was “really blind” and had to be put in a taxi home later in the evening.“But I can honestly say I don’t remember anything.”
“You really don’t. You are in your own little zone. Although you are conscious of what you’re doing, you’re not really.”More than a decade later the scandal followed Candice and David on a cricket tour of South Africa in 2018 with fans donning masks with Williams' face to unsettle the opening batsman.
Writing Running Strong was a form of “therapy” for Warner and she said it had lifted a weight off her shoulders.
