On The Team 980's"Russell & Medhurst" show Wednesday morning, caller"Mike from Pennsylvania," a Commanders season-ticket holder, explained what happened to his friend who won the Washington Commanders Charitable Foundation 50/50 raffle during the Sept. 11 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Commanders confirmed in a statement Wednesday that there was an issue and blamed it on a"bank error." The team digitally sent the money.
The radio station reported that Drew provided a photo that showed a FedEx Priority Overnight shipping container. Drew said he took photos of the check and the container to cover his bases, and that he received the check dated Oct. 13 – more than a month after the season opener. Drew said he spoke with a ticket representative Wednesday morning who transferred him to an employee in the finance department. The team was working to fix the issue"rather quickly" he said.
