“It was cool of him to visit,” Nathaniel said. “I wish he’d have stuck around a little longer.”
Josh, a left-handed hitter who doesn’t start against lefties sat out Friday’s series opener. On Saturday, he made his presence known quickly with a bottom-of-the-first double. He singled in his second at-bat, made a face behind Nathaniel while on the bag, but was there only two pitches before Randy Arozarena sent him on his way with a single.A year ago, the Lowes had hoped for the brotherly baseball fest, but it was postponed. Twice.
The younger Lowe got out to a quicker start in Saturday’s game, hitting a double in first at-bat for Tampa Bay while Nathaniel struck out in his first at-bat for the Rangers. The brotherly fun also extended to the bottom of the fourth inning when Josh reached first base and tried to get his older brother’s attention.
