A refreshed frontbench has seen Andrew Giles and Clare O'Neil both demoted following poor performances, with Tony Burke elevated to Immigration Minister and Murray Watt taking over Workplace Relations. The new ministry is now hard at work, with Mr Albanese hoping the reshuffle will also hand his party a boost come the next election given Labor's slide in recent polls.
In addition to spruiking the changes, the Prime Minister on Tuesday is expected to pile more pressure on Nationals MP Barnaby Joyce following controversial comments he made over the weekend.
