Footage includes the 18-year-old wandering around and kicking a bike before the unprovoked attack
Brian McKillop has been ordered to serve a minimum of 11 years and three months after previously pleading guilty to the murder and robbery of James Britton at the High Court in Glasgow.
Mr Britton, affectionately known as “Moose,” was returning from visiting friends when he was attacked. He died of his injuries on November 4, at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The Crown Office has released CCTV footage which shows McKillop before the unprovoked attack, at Rutherglen train station, where he appears agitated and angry, kicking a bike.Post-incident footage of McKillop from the Star Hand Car Wash at 11.59pm shows him walking away from the direction of where Mr Britton was last seen, as the police arrive.One woman pulled over and phoned 999 before trying to help Mr Britton.
Emergency service crews arrived shortly after, and the police arrested McKillop as he attempted to leave the scene.
