The first trailer for The Barbie Movie is here...
. We've already dissected every tantalising image from the Barbie set - and now the countdown begins for its release with the release of the first teaser trailer.
While the teaser doesn't give much away - instead riffing on a scene from 2001: A Space Odyssey - we do get a glimpse of Margot/Barbie in action - including a disco dance scene! Kate McKinnon - who stars in the movie as a yet undisclosed character - has promised: 'It's going to be incredible. The colours and the sets are everything. The costumes are everything. Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling - everything. I'm so excited for people to see it.'
Margot - who will also be a producer - previously said about the role, 'it comes with a lot of baggage!' in an interview with British Vogue. 'And a lot of nostalgic connections. But with that come a lot of exciting ways to attack it. People generally hear "Barbie" and think, "I know what that movie is going to be," and then they hear that Greta Gerwig is writing and directing it, and they’re like, "Oh, well, maybe I don’t.
