Philadelphia police are searching for a group of people who pepper sprayed Wawa employees overnight in University City. The incident reportedly happened around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday.

University of Pennslyvania police as well as an ambulance responded to the incident at 36th and Chestnut Streets,reported. Though police did not have many details to provide the news outlet. Hence, it’s unknown what led to the two employees getting pepper sprayed.

Another recent incident occurred at a Wawa in the Northeast Philadelphia neighborhood of Mayfair. Three weeks ago, 100 juveniles vandalized and stole from that location, and the incident was caught on camera, according toFollowing the incident, City Councilman Mike Driscollmet with Wawa executives who are considering not expanding in Philadelphia due to crime concerns,
