Wayne Rooney has landed a new role after he was sacked by Birmingham City at the start of 2024.
Writing on social media, the former Manchester United and England striker wrote: “I’m excited to announce that I will be joining my good mate @GNev2 and the team at @WeAreTheOverlap to appear on the channel across some of their brilliant shows on YouTube and the podcast.Prior to joining The Overlap, Rooney had been working as a pundit and was present in the Sky Sports studio when Liverpool lost to Everton in the Merseyside derby last week.
