The Manchester United legend offered some words of advice to Red Devils fan Pat Brown, helping him reach the 2024 Olympics
Manchester United fanatic Pat Brown revelled in a pre-Olympic pep talk from Wayne Rooney as part of his Paris preparations.
“Having Wayne Rooney here was surreal, as a big United fan,” he said. “It was great to see him, he’s a lovely man. “But we picked up on the things he said and it’s always good to hear from a legend like him. Even his calmness in front of camera, he knows the right things to say at the right time, which all plays a part when you start getting big in your sport.”He secured his spot at a qualifier in March having only been part of the GB Boxing set-up for two years.
