The Australian columnist Chris Mitchell says occurrences such as today’s warnings for possible blackouts in Queensland are “going to happen more”.
“And we saw it … in November and December, long before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we saw it across Europe,” Mr Mitchell told Sky News host Rowan Dean.
“And when the sun doesn’t shine and when the wind doesn’t blow and it gets to winter, all of a sudden renewables don’t work as well as we thought they did.”
