Australian photographer Daniela Federici has revealed the final text she sent to her family, believing she was moments from death amid the deadly Mumbai terror attacks. 9News

“I think being Australian there was a really pragmatic ‘just get over it’.

Director Anthony Maras tells the horrific story of that day through the eyes of the hotel’s staff and guests.Federici’s ordeal started hours before she sent that text message - when her and her crew entered the hotel’s lavish lobby, just seconds before the terrorists. As they checked in, Ms Federici told staff she had to rush to the meeting, which was in the first floor bar.

“There were points where explosions were through the buildings, there were terrorists on the roof,” she said. That was when Ms Federici messaged her now ex-husband and son, who was just three, to say goodbye.“Maybe 90 seconds after we all lay down, they threw a grenade off the roof, it cracked a window,” she said.
