Hawke's Bay Rugby chief executive Jay Campbell says his team are shattered to have broken the Ranfurly Shield trophy while partying.

"No-one is more disappointed than Hawke's Bay Rugby and those involved," Mr Campbell was quoted by Radio NZ as saying.
