The porch of a home on the 100 block of Main Street in Milltown was destroyed by a car early Saturday morning, according to resident Je-Ree Olenik.Everyone was sleeping when a car destroyed the front porch of her home early Saturday morning, Je-Ree Olenik told NJ Advance Media on Sunday.“We felt the house move,” Olenik, 35, said.
The road was closed until about 2 p.m. Saturday as the Milltown Police Department and Milltown Fire Department responded, Olenik said — noting that she posted about the accidentNo one in the four-family home was injured in the crash, Milltown Mayor Trina Mehr confirmed over the phone Sunday. Video of the aftermath also shows a light pole tipped over. It caused power to be out briefly, Olenik said.The family was forced to wait outside for over 7 hours. Olenik said it “wasn’t too cold but cold enough.”
