The boss of the United Nations has issued a new warning to the globe about a 'wider war' ahead of the one-year anniversary of Russia invading Ukraine.

"The prospects for peace keep diminishing. The chance of further escalation and bloodshed keep growing. The UN chief's number one priority on his list is the Ukraine and Russia conflict, which is just weeks away from its one-year anniversary since the invasion. "Without fundamental reforms, the richest countries and individuals will continue to pile up wealth, leaving crumbs for the communities and countries of the Global South," he said.
