Three Queensland men who ran into danger when a Moorooka bus was firebombed are among the 44 recipients of this year’s Australian Bravery Decorations.

Almost eight years ago, a routine morning bus trip in Moorooka suddenly turned into a horrifying emergency in which three Queensland men ran into danger to save 11 passengers.

The three strangers worked to free trapped passengers and douse flames after bus driver Manmeet Sharma was attacked with a petrol bomb in Brisbane’s south shortly after 9am on October 28, 2016.
