NSW Nationals Leader Paul Toole says he is “mates” with Former agriculture minister Dugald Sanders and they are still able to “work closely” with each other after Mr Toole won the challenge for the party’s leadership.
Mr Toole said after an election all positions in the party are made “vacant” as part of the Nationals’ “convention”.
“I think one of the things that unite our party is the fact that we all have one common goal,” he told Sky News Australia.“Even before the election, I think we found that everybody was working tirelessly, all working for the same cause and that’s exactly what we’ll continue to do.”
