We reviewed Booths' Cumbrian chicken - huge fillets and value for money make it the star of the show
Does anyone else feel like the chicken you buy from a supermarket is just filled with water and feels overpriced for what it is?It was £4 for two fillets but they looked huge and I was hoping they wouldn't just be filled with water. We've been blessed with hot weather for the last few weeks and that just makes me want to eat salad and lots of it.
I'm the type of girl that bangs everything on the oven at 200C. Meat, pizzas, veg, potatoes, you name it, it's going on 200C. Another 10 minutes later and the chicken was done, ready to be served on top of the salad. The fact it had taken 40 minutes to cook showed me it probably wasn't just pumped full of water and I was right.
Pairing it with a light salad and some caeser dressing really did do it justice. I believe this shouldn't be wasted chopping it up into another meal.
