Bilic said watfordfc should have killed Reading off sooner
The fear of not killing the game off earlier and leaving the door open for a Reading equaliser was the only gripe Slaven Bilic had after Tuesday night’s win.
“We should have put the game to bed much earlier, but it was a very good performance. We were aggressive, we passed the ball well and switched sides. “We had the chance to come out of the press without kicking the ball long, and we like to keep the ball. We are that kind of team. “Sometimes when you have a defeat you feel like you have to change this or that. No, it was a really good performance and the only thing lacking was a cutting edge, that piece of quality in the box.“So we continued tonight where we left off. And tonight again from the first minute we were much better, we knew the plan.”A clean sheet with a somewhat patchwork defence is not to be sniffed at, and Bilic praised his two full-backs who would more usually be found playing in midfield or attack.
