Infuriating stories of disputes with insurers have emerged at an inquiry into the response to south-east Queensland's February 2022 floods.

"We still have an unliveable house. We have no ceilings, no walls in the house. The mould is now toxic," Platt told an inquiry hearing today in the Moreton Bay region, which includes Mount Glorious, Caboolture, Narangba and many other flood-hit suburbs.Marie Platt's home at Mount Glorious, north-west of Brisbane, was only recently gutted.
