The brother of Lynette Dawson has declared his family's journey is not over yet after her husband Chris was on Tuesday found guilty of her murder 40 years ago.

Lynette's brother Greg Simms said Tuesday's verdict in the NSW Supreme Court was a"milestone" but it did not mark the end of the family's journey.

Mr Simms' wife Merilyn said their"biggest hope" was for Dawson to tell them where he buried Lyn's body.
