We tried Burger King's new vegan bacon burger and had to look twice

The newest vegan item launched on January 4 - we went to see if it was any good

There used to be a time when you would have to wait for Veganuary for any half decent vegan food options to be released.

I popped to my local drive thru restaurant in Preston to grab one for myself to see if it could become a new favourite of mine. The usual happened, I drove up to order, then round to the window. But when I was told 'that'll be £6.99 please' I thought, 'oh, did I inadvertently order a full meal?'. But then I got the dreaded feeling that I had ordered, or had been given the wrong sandwich because there wasn't a hint of Bakon peaking at the sides. Unlike the image plastered on the menu boards as I ordered, the Bakon is cut up into small strips and placed inside the burger so nothing peaked out at all.
