Melbourne United are concerned about Matthew Dellavedova after he went down with new concussion worries after copping an opponent’s leg to the face at John Cain Arena.
Melbourne United will probably be without star point guard Matthew Dellavedova for multiple games after he was concussed in Sunday’s 89-78 win over the Brisbane Bullets at John Cain Arena.
But after the leg of Bullets guard Sam McDaniel struck him on the face while he was prone on the ground, having just taken a charge, Dellavedova was immediately subbed out of the game and quickly ruled out of returning. If Dellavedova is put into the 12-day concussion protocol, he could miss as many as four games. But that will all depend on how long his symptoms linger, with United coach Dean Vickerman making it clear Dellavedova’s health would come first.Goulding led United, scoring 15 of his 18 points in the first half, while Ariel Hukporti had 11 points and 12 rebounds.
