The cake wasn't bad either
New improvements have been made to Rushcliffe Country Park - and there's a new cafe called Coffee & Cake by the lake. We visited and were impressed by the wonderful view.
The education centre at the park has been refurbished. Along with the new cafe, the visitors' centre has been upgraded - while landscaping work has taken place and there are better toilet facilities. There’s a lovely little bench in the direction of the lake in the park just opposite the cafe. It was occupied and many people kept jumping off and on it - I really wanted to sit there and enjoy the view so I kept an eye out for when it became available.
The weather warmed up and the sun was out and I was looking onto the beautiful lake. It was very relaxing and therapeutic. The sound of the leaves rustling, the water and birds made for a wonderful experience.
