Newlyweds and couples with weddings booked have been struggling to get refunds from reception venues after the COVID-19 crisis forced the cancellation of their events.
Norelle Zahra and Robert Luca paid a $13,000 deposit for a wedding reception venue and now can't get their money back.The couple said Clarence House Venues offered to postpone the wedding reception, but the couple was not interested in a lengthy delay because they were still getting married on June 6.
"Nothing has been finalised yet and we are offering postponement in keeping with the NSW Department of Fair Trading’s guide for the wedding industry.
