Perth-based start-up WeMoney has banked a fresh $7 million, adding Perth billionaire Laurence Escalante and US-based Dream Ventures to its list of investors.
The partnership gives WeMoney an Open Banking accreditation, making it an Authorised Data Recipient under the new Consumer Data Right.
Another of WeMoney’s new marquee investors, Escalante, made his fortune through online social gaming giant Virtual Gaming Worlds.WeMoney currently employs 14 people and doesn’t have plans to hire aggressively.
