Williams says she can't pay her bills unless Wells Fargo unfreezes her accounts.
Williams claimed in a New York court filing that the bank has locked her out of the accounts for more than two weeks, the report says.
The talk show host said her former financial adviser, Lori Schiller, who she said she fired for malfeasance and improper conduct, told the bank that Williams “was of unsound mind.”, is being manipulated. “Wells Fargo has strong reason to believe that is the victim of undue influence and financial exploitation,” it said, without specifying the source of this alleged influence, but pointing to the financial adviser’s observations and “third parties.”
The host of “The Wendy Williams Show” said that if Wells Fargo doesn’t unfreeze her accounts, she will be unable to pay bills and cover employee pay, mortgages and a marital settlement payment., as she has in the past. The autoimmune condition affects the thyroid and can cause a constellation of symptoms.
