Wesfarmers is said to be one of a handful of potential trade suitors left in the process. Greencross owner TPG Capital collected proposals prior to Christmas, and is understood to have been talking to potential suitors in the weeks since in an effort to bring its review closer to a conclusion. Wesfarmers is looking at the same time as it chases pharmacy supplies business and Priceline franchisor Australian Pharmaceutical Industries, and deals with issues in its existing portfolio.
