Alejandro Ramiro Pena, 32, was charged with felony improper relationship between educator and student, and he is being held on $40,000 bail. Pena was the football and girl’s basketball coach at West Campus High School.The 16-year-old student involved told South San Antonio ISD police on May 30 that she and Pena would have sex in his office during school, an affidavit supporting the arrest said.
According to reports, the last time the two had sex was days before Pena’s arrest. Police found bodily fluids, including semen, in Pena’s office. The student’s father learned about the relationship after he saw a bruise on her resulting from one of the sexual assaults. Pena called the student’s father on May 30 and “apologized for what he did,” the affidavit said.
