Football Insider can exclusively reveal that Fulham are battling West Ham for the services of Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke
Fulham have joined West Ham in the race to prise Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth before the window shuts,Fulham also have what sources say is “concrete” interest in Solanke as they push for a new striker following the exit of Aleksandar Mitrovic to Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal in a club-record deal.It is believed Fulham are willing to go up to £25-30m for Solanke, which is £10m below David Moyes’ side and leaves the Irons in pole position.
However, Bournemouth have not accepted West Ham’s offer and they are reluctant to lose their star striker in the final 10 days of the window.Solanke has a contract at Bournemouth that runs until the summer of 2026 after he signed an extension in August of last year. The striker scored seven goals and provided seven assists for Bournemouth last season as they secured Premier League survival.
The one-time England international was lethal in the previous campaign as the Cherries were promoted from the Championship, scoring 30 goals in 49 games across all competitions. He has started and completed both of Bournemouth’s matches, scoring in the 1-1 opening day draw against West Ham and also causing the defence of his old side Liverpool problems last weekend.
