John Keogh from Broxburn set up the Ootsider in 2021 to manufacturer the dry robe coats
A West Lothian man whose all weather coats are given free of charge to people sleeping rough has been praised by West Lothian Council.
John set up the Ootsider as a Community Interest Company based in the county and all the coats are manufactured locally. The firm now also makes beanie hats and sweatshirts all bearing the Ooutsider logo. Sale of these also help boost manufacture of coats for rough sleepers and the homeless. " Invite John to meet with the Economic Development team with a view to supporting him with the next steps for his SCIO which again has the potential to create real and lasting local jobs with an ethos with which West Lothian Council identifies."
