The Western Bulldogs remain hopeful that Jamarra Ugle-Hagan will play a role in the 2025 season despite confirming his absence from the pre-season camp to Noosa. Ugle-Hagan has been dealing with complex personal issues and is on a 'flexible' training program. The club emphasizes its priority is providing support to Ugle-Hagan and there is no set timeline for his return.
The Western Bulldogs are still “really hopeful” that Jamarra Ugle-Hagan will play a role in 2025, despite confirming that he will be absent from the pre-season camp to Noosa this week.
“The training and the playing side is not the number one priority at the moment. The priority really is to support him through these challenges, to begin to be able to deal with the different things he’s facing. “There are always complexities… you’re trying to update the staff and the players as much as you can. I think the bottom line comes back to the players have genuine care for Jamarra and they’re supportive there. A lot would’ve been reaching out to him over the last period.”Fox Footy presenter Gerard Whateley said the Ugle-Hagan issue “now feels longer term than it has done previously”.
