Alpine residents, business operators, and snow bunnies are hoping the landslip-struck Bogong High Plains Road will open this month linking Mount Beauty and Falls Creek.

A further 51mm was recorded at Falls Creek in the past week, according to Bureau of Meteorology data.Unstable land "The priority for all of us has always been from a safety perspective, that when the rain stops and the clean-up stops … [if] the rain impacted on the stability of the slip itself," Mr Sorathia said."Following that rain event there has been multiple small slips within the big slip itself."Geotechnical engineers are on site assessing the situation following the recent heavy rainfall.
The race to safely open the road for Anzac Day comes as snow dusted Victoria's alpine peaks on Easter Sunday and Monday, hinting at the approaching official ski season opening weekend now two months away.

King Charles’ Coronation route has been confirmedThe route King Charles III and Queen Consort will take to and from the coronation has been revealed. Accompanied by The Sovereign’s Escort of the Household Cavalry, they will travel down The Mall via Admiralty Arch, take the south side of Trafalgar Square, then go along Whitehall and Parliament Street, take the east and south sides of Parliament Square to Broad Sanctuary, before arriving at the Abbey. It’s also been revealed two different gilded coaches will be used for coronation, and King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla will travel to Westminster Abbey in the Diamond Jubilee State Coach first used by Queen Elizabeth in 2014. On their return to Buckingham Palace they will travel in the 260-year-old Gold State Coach which was used by the Queen for her coronation in 1953.
