After months of scrutiny, controversy, and disappointment, WeWork has officially withdrawn its IPO
, that the optimal time is certainly not now, and probably not anytime soon. Minson and Gunningham still say the company will hit the market eventually, and axing Neumann, cutting down costs, and streamlining the operation are likely measures to get things back on track.
But how long that takes—and what its valuation will be a second time around—remains to be seen. “We are as committed as ever to serving our members, enterprise customers, landlord partners, employees and shareholders,” the CEOs said. “We have every intention to operate WeWork as a public company and look forward to revisiting the public equity markets in the future.”
