More details have emerged in the alleged stabbing death of a toddler in Sydney's south-west, with the father reportedly speaking with police hours earlier before he attacked his son 'in a fit of rage'.
Nathan Vikatos, 45, was staying at his aunt's Riverwood unit in Sydney's south-west on Wednesday when she came home and discovered the toddler's body about 4pm.

It is understood police wanted to speak to him after his girlfriend claimed he had been violent towards her. They reportedly spoke with Mr Vikatos later on the phone. "I felt like I was in America and something really bad was happening, there was a shooting, the whole street was just packed," Amber MacDonald told reporters.
She said it was normally a quiet neighbourhood and was surprised she did not hear anything prior to the convoy of police cars and ambulances arriving.
