The Separatist droid army was a big part of the Star Wars prequel era, but what happened to them after Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith?
One of the critical elements of the Star Wars prequel trilogy was the Separatist droid army, but what happened to them after the events of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith? First introduced in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, the battle droids were the key combatants of the Separatist army and fought against the Grand Army of the Republic until the waning days of the Clone Wars.
Palpatine also sent Anakin to deactivate the battle droids, meaning the Grand Army of the Republic would see widespread victory in the final lingering battles of the Clone Wars. Palpatine could then transition the Republic forces into the Empire's soldiers, enforcing his will across the galaxy. However, despite Anakin deactivating most of the battle droids in Revenge of the Sith, this is not the end of their story in the Star Wars galaxy.
Everything That Happened To The Remaining Battle Droids One of the next chronological appearances of the battle droids after the prequel trilogy came in Star Wars: The Bad Batch. Season 1, episode 6 of the Clone Wars spin-off centered on the titular crew infiltrating a shipyard on Corellia to capture a tactical battle droid. Due to the less common appearance of battle droids, their price rose, leading Cid - the Batch's handler - to desire one.
