The payment started to be given to struggling households in Tuesday, October 31
Struggling families across the UK started being issued the government's latest cost of living payment earlier this week - but some people are rightly worried after not receiving it.
The £900 is issued in payments of £301, £300 and £299 which are being paid out during the tax year 2023/24. The first instalment of £301 was already paid out in spring this year and the third will be issued in spring 2024. Chancellor Jeremy Hunt first announced in his autumn statement last November that households on means-tested benefits would receive the cash boost.
The government said those who receive benefits exclusively from HM Revenue and Customs will begin getting the payment from November 10 instead of this week. Similar to payments from the DWP, the HMRC cost of living payment will remain at £300 and will be automatically issued.
