Listen carefully, ask questions, and don't minimize your child's concerns.

This should include your pediatrician and your child’s guidance counselor, as well as other community members who might be able to make recommendations.If your child made a plan for suicide, you should get help immediately, taking your child to the emergency room if necessary.
