Tuesday will be sunny and breezy before unsettled conditions take over
More rain and cooler conditions are set to arrive in Yorkshire this week with the weather predicted to take an “unsettled” turn.
The Met Office weather forecast for Yorkshire on Tuesday, August 12, is: “Starting fine with some warm sunshine, giving way to breezier conditions, clouds and eventually some rain for a time during the afternoon. Fine again from the northwest into the evening. Maximum temperature 25 °C.”While the sunshine is set to stick around on Tuesday, conditions will take a turn for the worse on Wednesday, as a period of “unsettled” weather arrives in the county, which will include rain and wind.
Looking further ahead to the weekend and it will be much of the same, with more rain and wind both in the forecast. Sadly, much of the rain will be concentrated on the north of the country with longer drier spells expected in the south east. Temperatures will remain around average for the time of year.
“Either side of weather fronts there will be spells of sunny or clear weather. Most of the wet weather will tend to be focused in the west and northwest, with longer drier spells further south and east. Temperatures overall will be close to average for August. There is just a chance of short-lived very warm conditions returning to parts of the south and east at times.”
