Alito was joined in his majority opinion by Justices Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett., "Chief Justice John Roberts voted with the other conservative justices to uphold the Mississippi law but urged in a concurring opinion against going further."
"With sorrow — for this Court, but more, for the many millions of American women who have today lost a fundamental constitutional protection — we dissent," they said.What does the majority opinion say?, which stemmed from a 2018 Mississippi law banning all abortions after 15 weeks of gestation and the ensuing litigation brought by the state’s only abortion care provider.and a related 1992 decision,are contingent on – does not automatically include abortion.
