Ryan Gravenberch is not eligible to make his Liverpool debut at home to Aston Villa on Sunday
Ryan Gravenberch has trained with his new Liverpool team-mates for the first time today after completing a deadline day transfer from Bayern Munich.
However, despite now linking up with the Reds at the AXA Training Centre, he will not be eligible to feature for Liverpool in Sunday’s clash with Aston Villa at Anfield. Consequently, Gravenberch’s first match after signing for Liverpool will likely be for Netherlands Under-21s after he was included in their latest squad for the start of their 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification campaign.
Netherlands Under-21s open their campaign at home to Moldova on September 8 in Waalwijk, before facing North Macedonia in Skopje on September 12. Gravenberch will then report back to the AXA Training Centre and prepare for a potential Liverpool debut.
