Kalu so keen to get more game time - and create more chances - for watfordfc
For a man who has played little more than 300 minutes of first-team football since joining Watford in January, Samuel Kalu is certainly someone who has generated plenty of discussion among fans.
However, yet again Kalu showed pace, trickery and also end product in a 24-minute outing that has led some Watford fans to wonder whether he should start at Bristol City on Saturday. Anyone who saw him dance around a series of defenders at Wigan in one particularly memorable jinking run will have a good idea of what Kalu brings to the team, and again last night against Reading he showed a willingness and ability to go past defenders.“That is how I have always played for years, when I was in France, when I was in Belgium.
“I made the run and then when I put the ball in and saw Keinan, I thought it was going in. Unfortunately he couldn’t quite do it,” he said. “But I have been playing a couple of minutes. Hopefully the longer time will come for me because I think I am getting into a good condition.”
