With the federal election underway, it can be hard to keep up with where each party stands on some of the key issues. We've made a little cheat sheet to make it easier.

. Under the recent changes, families with two or more children in care under six years of age are now eligible to receive an additional 30 per cent on top of the current subsidy, with the total capped at 95 per cent. For families with only one child in care, the subsidy has remained the same, with a maximum cap of 85 per cent. There is also no annual cap. The government's policy would cost $1.7 billion over four years.

Just a quick note, action to prevent climate change isn't restricted to one policy and usually crosses multiple departments but one of the key platforms is each party's commitment to net zero and their plans for reaching that.but has not committed to changing its 2030 target of a 26-28 per cent cut in emissions. However, it says Australia is on track to cut emissions by 30 to 35 per cent by then anyway.
