He says 2022 will be remembered as the year when private capital investors’ ESG priorities sparked other market participants into action, and he reckons activity levels will be high again in 2023. “All the major telco tower assets in Australia and New Zealand changed hands over the past two years, with a total transaction value of more than $14 billion.
In terms of the mega deals, he says Australia’s $3.5 trillion superannuation sector is headed towards $10 trillion within a decade, which meant no target was too big for private capital investors.
