Throughout his two campaigns at Kentucky, Levis operated a zone-based offensive scheme made popular in today’s NFL by the likes of Sean McVay and Kyle Shanahan. It makes Levis a fit for various NFL teams, but McDaniels’ offense doesn’t quite fit into that bucket. Levis’ blend of physical tools are extremely intriguing, but the Raiders should look elsewhere.I believe Stroud should be Las Vegas’ second preferred choice behind Young.
Richardson’s lack of quality experience as a one-year starter makes him a difficult forecast for McDaniels’ scheme. If Carr struggled to acclimate, it’s difficult to imagine Richardson getting comfortable with Vegas’ offensive concepts in a timely manner. There should be little-to-no mutual interest between these two parties.
Richardson’s dynamic skill set deserves to land in a destination that preaches patience and development. The Raiders don’t possess that benefit after the McDaniels era got off to such a disappointing start in 2022. The Raiders shouldn’t target Richardson in the 2023 NFL Draft.
