Sky News host Chris Kenny says as thousands of doctors, nurses and a myriad of other workers are “exposing themselves” to coronavirus risks, the ALP has instead thanked the ABC for always being there “through every crisis”.
On Wednesday the Australian Labor Party posted a tweet saying, “through every crisis, our ABC has always been there. So to the ABC and everyone who works there: Thank you”. “So which workers do you reckon the Australian Labor Party shows its gratitude … yep, the permanent employees on guaranteed government salaries at the ABC,” Mr Kenny said.
“This is the ABC who in the early days of this crisis could have shared useful information but chose instead to slam the government for not communicating effectively enough”. Mr Kenny said the national broadcaster “chose to promote its own policy ideas from its own doctor cum journalist instead of reporting or supporting the government's policies”.
